Working Effectively with Asian American & Pacific Islander Producers
This course is expected to educate NRCS employees on outreach focused specifically toward Asian American & Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islands (AANHPI) producers. The training should assist the agency to comply with Civil Rights and Farm Bill requirements, specifically by providing adequate and effective outreach training in the delivery of NRCS programs and services to the AANHPI communities through culturally sensitive and appropriate training. Training will include understanding AANHPI community’s cultural and historical background, identifying barriers and strategies in addressing barriers to program participation, as well as, providing effective and targeted training for effective outreach and working relations needed for these communities.
