Thomas Tran graduated from University of Washington in Tacoma, Washington with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science. Soon after he graduated, he began working for USDA-NRCS since 2008. He worked in Aberdeen, South Dakota as a Biologist for 2 years. After that, he moved to Sisseton, South Dakota in 2010 and has been working there as a Soil Conservationist  since then and calls Sisseton, South Dakota his hometown. He has not only gained technical skills, but also have worked with several different Farm Bill programs, took on various civil rights related collateral duties, as well as served as Acting District Conservationist for Roberts and Marshall counties on numerous occasions, so he has been exposed to and gained a lot of experience as far as customer service, Farm Bill program implementation, and office management. Thomas always loves to learn and explore new things. In his spare time, he loves gardening, watching comedy shows, travelling, and spending time with his family.
